In this next week 470+ educators will descend upon the campus of Surrey Christian Secondary for three days of learning, inspiration, encouragement, and networking at the 6th annual gathering of the Christian Deeper Learning conference.
What can be expected if you are attending?
Learning - Those coming early will benefit from one of our four pre-conference opportunities and at the conference, you will be able to choose from 60+ workshops that have been carefully chosen that align with the philosophy of CDL as well as 16 EMT (Eleven Minute Talk) sessions. Reminder: make your selections on the Whova app - some sessions are already full!
Inspiration - there will be an exciting student presentation, educator classroom stories and school change stories. Plus you will be with other educators who are some of the best we have in Christian education today and here's why I say that!
Encouragement - learn about new tools and resources, share what you have learned with others at the Conversation Cafe, and interact with partner sponsors offering professional development and professional resources. See our partner sponsors below.
Networking - we are truly an international conference - it will be great to meet other educators from other places! See our attendee map below.

Knowing about God is quite different from walking day to day with God.
Knowing about Christian Deeper Learning (CDL) is quite different from being able to engage your students in CDL.
The purpose of this institute is:
To immerse you in a CDL experience that will equip you to provide a CDL experience for your students. It’s very hard to teach something with an authenticity that you haven’t experienced yourself.
To explore what it means to teach “Christianly” in all subjects and grade levels. Biblical integration sometimes happens in what we teach and sometimes in the way we learn together.
To engage you with the curriculum, instructional practices, and assessment strategies that support CDL for all your students.
To create a culture that encourages Christ-like character and invites the learner into God’s story.
To refresh and renew your spirit in a pastoral setting – a mansion on a lake with outstanding hospitality and cuisine.
