Abbotsford Christian School
At Abbotsford Christian School we are designing project-based learning (PBL) experiences to look more like those times when significant learning occurs for all of us in "real life." We present students with complex questions and real-world problems. Authentic tasks motivate students to think critically, work collaboratively and design creatively as they prepare to share their results with an invested audience. Sustained inquiry and student ownership drive project-based learning, providing students the freedom to use their God-given gifts and abilities to engage God’s world and transform and impact their communities in meaningful ways.
Come join us for the day as we unpack project-based learning in an immersive context. Student work and presentations will be a highlight of the day as we reflect on our practice together.
*Transportation to and from the hotel will be taken care of … and expect to be fed well 😊
White Rock Christian Academy
White Rock Christian Academy was the first North American Christian Continuum International Baccalaureate® (IB) World School having received authorization to offer the Primary Years Programme (K – G5), the Middle Years Programme (G6-10), and the Diploma Programme (G11-12). Each IB programme has unique characteristics that have gained international recognition in preparing students with future-ready skills.
We invite you to learn more about an IB education, and how these programmes can facilitate Christian Deeper Learning. We also invite you to join us in visiting classrooms, talking to students, and seeing the International Baccalaureate in action. You are welcome to visit our Christian IB school that desires to inspire and cultivate godly citizens who transform their world for Christ.
Surrey Christian School
Teaching for Transformation
At Surrey Christian, our mission is to Educate for wholeness by engaging God’s world in the servant way of Jesus as we journey towards our vision of being fully alive in God’s Story.
We invite you to spend the day with us as we explore how the core and essential practices of Teaching for Transformation provide the framework to equip our learners to ‘see the Story, live the Story.’ Our day together will include classroom visits, artifact exploration, and listening to students and teachers share stories of how Surrey Christian invites, nurtures, and empowers the humans of Surrey Christian to play their part in God’s story.
We pour our lives out every day for our students. Jesus poured his life out for us. But we don’t often make time to receive the rest, refreshment, and renewal he promises for our weary souls. We are just too busy. Too distracted.
We cannot effectively invite our students into an abiding, intimate relationship with God if we ourselves are drained and depleted. And so we offer this gift to you: a day set aside in a beautiful space to encounter, hear from, and respond to God in guided reflection, times of solitude, and times of prayer.
